Who we are
E.D.S is a well established marine contractor.
We are underwater engineers, confined space
and marine pollution specialists and pride ourselves
on being able to offer the
technical base, resources and expertise to
provide a high quality, safety conscious and
cost effective service.
We are members of the Association of Diving
Contractors, approved contractors to the
Ministry of Defence, various Utility companies
and are members of Constructionline.
E.D.S has practical experience in all aspects
of marine engineering, whether it is from a boat
or on the seabed we cover all aspects of our
industry.
We offer a wide range of services not just
diving, but mechanical engineering facilities,
coded welders, explosive advice, marine and
civil engineering.
Our equipment register is extensive with
numerous underwater cameras, a highly
capable ROV, ultrasonic thickness monitors,
welding and burning equipment, various boats
and rescue craft.
We have also partnered up with a number of
specialist consultancies for cathodic protection,
structural or diving surveys and have no limits
to where we travel.
Ship inspections
We have worked extensively on all types of ships including warships and submarines, hull cleaning, changing propellers or carrying out basic video inspections. An R.O.V. inspection of Hulls and Propellers is also available.
Our recent ship inspection and maintenance jobs include:
- Conducting an Inspection and cleaning of a contaminated fuel tank on an Oxygen Barge.
- Inspection and repair to a fuel tank (Case Study).
- Carry out an inspection and cleaning of the ships propeller.
- Seachest inspection and isolations.
