Trash Screen Construction

What started out as a single panel turned into a multi level trash screen with access hatches, ladders and walkways measuring approximately 4m high, 3m wide and 5m long.
We were asked to design, manufacture and install a simple trash screen for a chemical company in South
Wales. After many revisions due to the number of consultants involved we finally had our design, specific to the location moulded around existing headwall and trailing walls. Our team of welders and fabricators build the trash screen, taking over a large area of the fabrication shop, within a week and it was sent away for galvanising ready for the installation.
One day and one crane later, the trash screen was installed by our divers. The size and shape of the trash screen meant it was installed in two sections, which was incorporated into the design. During the installation we spent an additional day replacing an existing cast iron flap valve with a new plastic flap valve with an integrated fish pass.

Our customer was very satisfied with the quality and the design of the trash screen and we hope to complete similar projects in the near future.
