Who we are

E.D.S is a well established marine contractor. We are underwater engineers, confined space and marine pollution specialists and pride ourselves on being able to offer the technical base, resources and expertise to provide a high quality, safety conscious and cost effective service.

We are members of the Association of Diving Contractors, approved contractors to the Ministry of Defence, various Utility companies and are members of Constructionline.

E.D.S has practical experience in all aspects of marine engineering, whether it is from a boat or on the seabed we cover all aspects of our industry.

We offer a wide range of services not just diving, but mechanical engineering facilities, coded welders, explosive advice, marine and civil engineering.

Our equipment register is extensive with numerous underwater cameras, a highly capable ROV, ultrasonic thickness monitors, welding and burning equipment, various boats and rescue craft.

We have also partnered up with a number of specialist consultancies for cathodic protection, structural or diving surveys and have no limits to where we travel.

January 2010

Belated New year wishes, we hope that 2010 is a happy and healthy new year for you. Where did 2009 go? We had our busiest year to date, something that we are very proud of under the very difficult financial climate. Having travelled to Russia and Italy in 2009 as rescue teams it proved to be a very interesting year. The start of 2010 has been somewhat hectic with the purchase of a new factory enabling us to bring all of our different departments together, we will have a designated engineering shop for machining, fabrication, construction and training facility all under one roof which will help out in all sorts of ways. We are going through the legal process now and will hopefully have completed the move by the end of February, everyone is very excited about having so much more room, the farm where we have been for such a long time has served us really well and it will be a wrench to leave, but the new facilities offer so much more potential and its only one mile away. December 2009

So many people think that diving is seasonal, well they would be wrong! We still have a very busy month just less time to do it with the holidays taking up at least one week! With the freak flood conditions of last month we have been tasked with a lot of bridge inspections in conjunction with the usual workload, Decembers are proving to be one of our busier calendar months. We hope you all have a Happy Christmas and a very Healthy New year, from us all at EDS.
