EDS Secures Caerphilly CBC’s Six-Year Inspections Framework

A big well done to our Inspections and Survey teams, who have secured Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Term Service Framework for inspections for the next six years. It’s a brilliant achievement and a real credit to everyone involved.

This framework means we’ll continue supporting the council with a full suite of specialist work, including inspections of bridges, riverbeds, culverts and other critical structures. It’s an area our team knows well – we’ve worked with Caerphilly CBC for more than 20 years, helping them keep vital infrastructure safe while saving significant costs along the way.

Paul Edwards, Managing Director of EDS, said: “Caerphilly has been a long-standing partner for us, and I’m proud of the trust we’ve built together over two decades. Securing this framework is a real testament to the consistency and professionalism of our teams. They put in the hard work, often in tough conditions, and this really shows their commitment. Thank you to Richard Harris, Lee Husk, Carl Bugler and Gwyn Vole for the part each of you played.”

The video below gives a snapshot of what this service looks like in action. It shows how our trained inspectors use advanced survey tools to assess underwater structures, even in low-visibility environments. We pair laser scanning with high-resolution 3D modelling to give clients a clear and accurate view of what’s happening below the surface.
