The Iain Cooper Cup Returns for Its Biggest Year Yet
Each year, the Iain Cooper Cup brings together colleagues, clients, suppliers and friends for an afternoon of football and an evening of good company – all in memory of our much-missed colleague, Iain Cooper.
The annual event also raises funds for BASICS Devon, the charity whose volunteer emergency doctors responded in an attempt to save Iain’s life when he passed away a few years ago. It’s a cause that remains very close to everyone at Edwards Diving Services.
This year’s tournament was our biggest and best yet, with a closely fought final between the EDS divers and friends team and our colleagues from Envolve. Congratulations to Envolve, who came out on top to take home the Iain Cooper Cup.
Our EDS side was joined by friends from Siltbuster and Selwood Pumps, while employees, clients, suppliers and colleagues from across Envolve came along to support the day.
Once the football was finished, everyone headed to Caerphilly Golf Club for a BBQ, drinks, entertainment and a raffle. Together, the event raised nearly £1,000 for BASICS Devon.
A huge thank you goes to our Diving Engineer, Charlie Hamer, for once again organising such a fantastic event, as well as everyone who played, attended, donated or contributed to making the day such a success.
The Iain Cooper Cup has become a real mainstay of the EDS calendar. It’s a chance to remember Iain, support a charity with a special connection to him and bring together the people and organisations we work alongside throughout the year.
We’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year.
